Important Dates for Grads
Potential Eagle Academy Graduates in DCSD
Students who are nearing their graduation requirements within the Douglas County School District (DCSD) are classified as potential graduates. Specifically, those who are within one quarter of fulfilling the requirement of 24 credits are eligible for this designation.
To successfully graduate, these students must complete the following criteria:

24 Credits: Students must attain the required academic credits through their coursework.

Edgenuity- Due 2 week prior to the end of the quarter if assigned.

Community Service: 20 hours due 2 weeks prior to graduation

Work-Based Learning (WBL) Hours
Academic counselors will maintain open lines of communication with students as they work towards their graduation goals. They will provide ongoing guidance and support throughout this important process, ensuring that each student is on track to achieve their aspirations.

Community Service
One key step toward graduation is fulfilling the community service requirement. This is a wonderful opportunity for students to become responsible citizens, learn selflessness, and experience personal growth by helping others in the wider community.

Requirement: Every student attending a Douglas County School District (DCSD) school must complete 20 hours of community service to graduate.

Timeframe: Service hours must be completed outside of the student's home and family environment and must commence after the successful completion of eighth grade.

Documentation: All hours must be documented on a DCSD Community Service Form.
