How to Report an Absence

To report a student's absence from Eagle Academy, please follow the procedure outlined below. Prompt communication helps us ensure the safety and well-being of our students.

To report an absence, you have two options:

1. Email: Send an email to Tracy Dixon at tdixon@dcsdk12.org.
2. Phone: Call the attendance line at 303-387-0875.

Whether you call or email, please provide the following information:

• Your name
• Your student’s first and last name (please spell it out)
• The date of the absence
• The reason for the absence
• A call-back phone number
• Important Information about Absences

Please remember that all absences are initially marked as unexcused. They will be updated to excused status only when you provide a doctor's note or a court-issued note. We appreciate your cooperation in helping us maintain accurate attendance records.

• Registration
• Official Academic Transcripts
• Graduation Verifications 
• Extended Absence 
• Withdrawal

All requests must be submitted in writing to comply with the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA). This ensures that your student's personal and academic information is handled securely and released only with proper authorization.
