Lisa Jensen- At-Risk Counselor

Lisa Jensen has been Eagle Academy’s At-Risk Counselor since 2016, when she relocated from St. Louis Missouri. She is a licensed therapist with 20 years of experience working with adults in private practice, and with at-risk youth in not-for-profit agencies and in schools. She previously worked for the Wentzville School District, supporting their Alternative Programs.
Ms. Jensen provides social/emotional support for students and families, while also assisting and educating staff in trauma informed practices. She also has a background in science, with degrees in Biology and Chemistry, and was an adjunct professor at Lindenwood University, so she enjoys teaching the Contemporary Issues in Health Class. The class focuses primarily on substance abuse and the science of addiction through the study of the brain. The class also challenges students to work on themselves, exploring their gifts, goals, paths to happiness and purpose in life.
Lastly, Ms. Jensen manages the Academic Leave program, counseling students who are not being successful; partnering with the families as well in efforts to get students back in seat and back on track. She routinely collaborates with students’ outside mental health providers and other systems of care, such as DHS caseworkers, probation officers and truancy court.

Janda Bliek- Academic Counselor

Janda Bliek is excited to return to Eagle Academy! She first worked at Eagle from 2003-2010 as a high school counselor. A part of her heart has always remained at Eagle and she is so happy to be back “home” as one of the two academic counselors.
Janda is proud to have begun her career in Douglas County in 1998. She earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Counseling in 2001 from the University of Northern Colorado.
When Janda is not at work, she loves spending time with her family and friends- but her favorite moments are spent cheering on the sidelines. Her biggest accomplishments are her twins. Holland is a junior at the University of Oklahoma and Brody is a football player at UNC. (Go #97!) She has been married to her husband, Scott, for 30 years this coming August.
