Importance of Attendance at Eagle Academy

Student attendance is crucial at Eagle Academy for the following reasons:

  • Every absence impacts the Student Success Score.
  • Students who fail to meet the Student Success Score in one or more classes will be placed on Academic Leave for the upcoming quarter.

Attendance Recording Procedures

Tardy: A student is marked tardy if they arrive within the first 20 minutes of class.

Absent: A student is marked absent if they are:

  • Late by more than 20 minutes
  • Leave during class

Notification Requirements

Parents or guardians must call the attendance line at 303-387-0870, ext. 1 within 24 hours to report their student's absence.

If a parent or guardian does not notify the school via phone call or email, an automated email will be sent at 8:50 PM that evening to inform them of the absence.

Excused Absences

Students who are sick and provide a doctor's note will be excused and marked as "EXC."

  • Only absences marked as "EXC" will not count towards the Student Success Score.
  • Both excused and unexcused absences between 7-10 will result in half credit.
