Attendance

Student attendance is very important at Eagle Academy because:

  • Every absence is calculated into the Student Success Score.
  • Students who don't pass the Student Success Score in one or more classes are going to be put on Academic Leave  for the next quarter.

How attendance is recorded at Eagle Academy:

  • Students are marked Tardy when:
    • Late to 1st, 2nd and 3rd period classes within the first 20 minutes of class;
    • Late to 4th and 5th period classes within the first 10 minutes of class.

  • Students are marked Absent when:
    • Late for more than 20 minutes in 1st, 2nd and 3rd period classes;
    • Late for more than 10 minutes in 4th and 5th period classes.
  • Parents or guardians are required to call the attendance line at 303 387 0870 within 24 hours to notify the school of their student's absence.

  • If a student is not called in by a parent/guardian's phone call or email, the parent/guardian will receive an automated email at 8:50 pm that night informing them of the absence.

  • Students who are out sick and provide a doctor's note, will be excused and marked "EXC".

  • Only absences marked "EXC" will not be calculated in the Student Success Score.
